(Troy, MI)-Expetec Technology Services, Rochester Hills in SE Michigan, constantly strives to be a good citizen by sponsoring programs to donate to local charities, collect cellphones for soldiers, and recycle the numerous electronic equipment components disposed of in this technology era. In August they recycled 268 pounds of monitors and 715 pounds of miscellaneous equipment for a customer.
Items taken to the recycling facility are either refurbished and resold or donated for reuse. If that is not possible, the items are destroyed in compliance with EPA and Wisconsin DNR regulations governing the disposition. All data on storage devices are destroyed electronically by wiping the device or physically destroying the device.
