Expetec Rochester Hills based in Troy, Michigan has a plan to help local charities benefit by giving their customers the opportunity to designate a charity of their choice when purchasing telecommunication and internet sales from Expetec. When a customer starts with a one year contract for these services Expetec Rochester Hills will donate 10% of the first month’s bill to the purchaser’s favorite local charity. The goal is to donate $10,000 to charities in Michigan.
The Detroit Metropolitan based company offers services such as high bandwidth lines for internet, cable, phone services including VOIP, MPLS, and managed firewalls. Expetec represents such companies as Comcast to provide cable, tv, internet and phone as well as ATT, Paetec, Cavalier, XO, Level 3, Time Warner Cable, Cbeyond, Qwest and Grid 4 to name a few.
The $10,000 will be used to help local organizations such as Matrix Human Services, Light House of Oakland County, and the Yellow Ribbon Fund (designated to Michigan recipients). Matrix Human Services serves the metropolitan Detroit community and is devoted to maintaining and supporting all ages. It began in 1906 and now serves with the objective of empowering individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency.
Light House of Oakland County (LOC) has been providing services to low-income families in Oakland County since 1972. It has grown into a family of agencies providing a full range of services designed to move people from crisis to independence.
The Yellow Ribbon Fund was created in 2005 to assist our injured service members and their families while they recuperate at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the National Naval Medical Center. The Yellow Ribbon fund’s objective is to give wounded families “something to smile about.”
